Review of 41: A Portrait of My Father by George W. Bush

41: A Portrait of My Father - George W. Bush

I enjoyed this book a great deal more than I expected. George W. Bush wrote this biography of his father George H.W. Bush and I thought it was both touching and well written. It is not a comprehensive biography, but it covers the major events in H.W.'s life and it always has a focus on the personal side. It doesn't dive deeply into politics, and when it does, it does not take personal shots and Bush was gracious in his description of political rivals. I was young when H.W. Bush was President, so I enjoyed catching up with some of the events on the fringes of my memories.
