This review could be the same as any of the others I have written about Patterson in the last year. Engaging enough to keep me turning pages, disappointed that the bad guys flame out so badly in the end. It is hard to build up criminal masterminds only to find out that (spoilerish here) they are so easily handled at the end of the story.
Also seems that Alex Cross himself has lost his touch. He really doesn't figure out anything on his own in this book. All the answers are given to him by various people.
I liked this Cross book more than the past few I have read, but only by a little.
