Another solid entry in the Gordianus series. Not my favorite, but it was nice to put the setting in Egypt and introduce the age of Cleopatra to the story. I feel like I learned a bit about that time period that I am not very familiar with. The mystery of the story does not really take place until the latter parts of the story, but this book moved the story of Gordianus and his family forward. At this point the books are good for the characters more than the mysteries, but I will continue reading through the series that I have come to love.
